Making a Will is important.  It is a way of ensuring that your wishes are followed when you die so that your home, money and possessions go to the people that you want them to go to.

It is always worth while making a Will. It means that your Estate can be wound up more quickly and more cheaply, saves your loved ones hassle and gives you peace of mind.

We can prepare the Confirmation for the court, ingather the Estate and distribute it amongst the beneficiaries.

MATRIMONIAL

Separation is never easy.  It can also be complicated legally.  We have experience in preparing separation agreements which help to regulate the position between a couple following separation.

We can raise divorce actions on your behalf under either the simplified or ordinary procedure.

POWER OF ATTORNEY

Having a Power of Attorney lets you plan what you want another person to do for you if you become incapable of making decisions.  It is a written document which is signed and then sent to the Office of the Public Guardian for registration along with a certificate signed by a solicitor or doctor.

GUARDIANSHIP

A Guardianship Order is a court appointment which authorises a person to act and make decisions on behalf of an adult who does not have capacity.  Anyone with an interest can make an application for a Guardianship Order.  An adult is someone who is over 16 years of age who is not able to look after their own affairs.

This can be a complex and time consuming court procedure.  More information can be obtained from the Office of the Public Guardian.
